We are looking at buying a Gas BBQ to take away with us on our hols wondered if anyone had any recomendations . Obviously needs to be portable have looked at Weber Q100 has anyone used this ?

We have used the Carri Chef Deluxe for about 3 years.  It is very versatile, and the separate components make for easy stowage throughout the van.  Part from conventional BBQ's, it allows alfresco cooking across a wide range of dishes.

We was a little worried how cheap it is but i can confirm its fantastic.

We have a Q100 and love it. It is excellent quality and produces great results. If we didn't already have a large gas bbq at home I'm sure my OH would use at home as well. We use it with the small disposable gas cylinders which means we don't need to carry a second large cylinder. They last for a couple of weeks at least with daily use. It is big enough for 4 of us and tucks away under the caravan when not in use. We have the trolley for it, which is very useful but has to travel in the caravan as it rattles too much in the car!

We bought this for the caravan and find it great for odd burger or chop.

Fariy power spray does the job, the grill easily fits in the washing up area sinks as well (it's not allowed in the caravan!). The lid just needs an occasional wipe round and the foil drip tray has a quick rinse, the first foil tray lasted over a year!

The other thing we really like about the Q100 is that when not in use it sits on the folded trolly under the caravan.

Have seen a few places (local garden centre etc) with offers on them to include an accessory such as the travel bag or cover. We have the bag with wheels which is useful but I wouldn't have paid £50 for it.

Cadac for me too, I have tried various others over the years but they haven't come close to the Cadac Carri Chef. Spares are readilly available too so prolongs its working life indefinately.
