Scotgate holiday park is a beautiful family run park in the Village of Braithwaite 2.5 miles from the busy lakeside Market Town of Keswick. The site offers unrivalled views of surrounding fells and there are walks accessible direct from the campsite. We have a 12 month season for touring and camping. There is a licensed Tea Room with large patio area serving full english breakfast from 8am, home made meals, snacks and ice creams all day. Our licensed shop is open from 7am until late with everything you may need during your stay. There is a newly built luxury utility block offering disabled and baby change facilities and a laundry room. The site is flat and well drained. Booking adviseable for tourers and motorhomes and all pitches are on hardstanings; camping strictly first come first served.
Nearby Attractions
Keswick Town Centre is a 40 minute walk or a 10 minute bus journey. Bus stop outside the park gates. Keswick is a bustling popular town with many bars and restaurants, cinema and the award winning Theatre by the Lake. There are many events all year round including market days, Jazz and Beer Festivals. We are the closest campsite (1.5 miles)to the Whinlatter Visitor Centre, the base for Go Ape, Cyclewise, offering bike hire and trails for mountain bike enthusiasts of all levels, and the Bassenthwaite Osprey information centre with live links where you can watch the birds fishing,feeding and rearing their young. The site is surrounded by some of the best walks in the Lakes, Skiddaw, Grizedale Pike and the Coledale Horseshoe.
Directions
From the M6 take Junction 40 onto the A66 Westbound past keswick then turn left onto the B5292 into Braithwaite. The site entrance is approximately 200 yards on the left hand side.
