One of the best-kept secrets on the network, Dockray Meadow is the nearest Club Site to lesser-known lake beauties including Cogre Moss, Ennerdale, Loweswater, Crummock Water and Buttermere and well within easy reach of popular Keswick and Derwentwater (16m).
Well screened and sheltered, you may opt to do little more than relax on site alongside the tumbling stream and revel in the glorious fell scenery during your stay.
However, for the energetic there are plenty of walks from and around the site, and a good place to eat locally. If bargain hunting sounds like your cup of tea, you`ll enjoy shopping in both Whitehaven and Workington town centres.
This site has 4½ acres of land (part of it sloping), accommodating 53 pitches. All of the pitches consists of cinders, gravel, tarmac, concrete or other hard surface (steel awning pegs available).
You will discover a motor van waste discharge point, Calor gas on sale and an information room.
TV signal is poor here so a booster system is available. Public transport is available nearby.

From Cockermouth By-pass (A66) - turn onto A5086 (sp Egremont); in abt 6½m (300yds past The Lamplugh Tip PH on R) turn L at sp Loweswater, Lamplugh Green, Buttermere; within ¾m turn R (sp Croasdale, Ennerdale Water). Site on L in 50yds.
From S on A595 - turn R at rndabt on N o'skirts of Egremont onto A5086 (sp Cleator Moor); in abt 9m turn R just before Lamplugh Tip PH into rd sp Loweswater, Lamplugh Green; then as above.
