Very nice site. We arrived on the first very hot weekend of the year.
The site is split into several wooded glades, some with sun all day, some no dogs etc, the site was almost full so the facilities were very well used.
The shower block was cleaned twice a day, although, there were a lot of families on site, we think on busy weekends a third clean would be advisable.
We hired bikes from the site office (2 for £24 all day) which was a very good way to get around, they were brand new mountain bikes. There is a coffee shop and food shop on site which sold really nice local produce. The food in the on site pub, the Muskett Arms, was excellent and the pub has free WiFi.
We (my parents, husband and 2 1/2 year old daughter) stayed at Clippesby in a large 7 berth Outwell tent for 6 nights, pitch 71 in South Park - and it was perfect! large enough as the tent is pretty big, close enough to reception/shop/cafe and also the playground and washing facilities. Nice central area.
This is our third camping trip and first with this tent and we would definitely say we would go back but (because of the distance - 3hrs) we would like to try other counties.
When you arrive you pop into reception, they then advise that a black landrover will come to the carpark and direct you to the pitch, had a short wait but service! well.
The areas are well spaced as are the pitches.
Our airbed pump stopped with another bed to do, and reception were happy enough to plug it in for a few hours to charge for me. I also heard that the pub will charge your mobiles for you too.
The site has: grass tennis area, badminton area, 18 hole crazy golf, cafe (great hot choc!), homely pub with great food & TV (World cup was still on.) adventure play area with two zipwires and one toddler zip wire which our daughter loved. Swings, sand pit, football area. 3 shower blocks, which are kept very clean and have a bucket and mop available if someone has left the floor a bit mucky. I personally felt that the toilets, showers and family bathroom were very good with fine temp of water and not too small at all. The bath hot tap is so fast you can run a bath and wash and be out in no time.
There are kitchen washing facilities with deep sinks and nice hot water.
Area with payable laundry available and a large freezer for your ice blocks to be kept frozen free.
Nice little shop which stocks most things, apart from cigarettes which unfortunately my husband buys, so we had to remember to get them while out. Also withdrawing money was an issue, we had to get it at local post offices. (Nearest towns we found were Thrigby and Potter Heigham)
When you get your welcome pack you will notice you have a bread order form which we didn't use as out most of the time, but great as shop does sell out.
BeWILDerwood was amazing and even with a 2 year old we didn't feel it was a waste as we got to go on everything with her ! hee hee
Thrigby Hall Wildlife was very good.
Will be recommending the site to family and friends! x
Few niggles. Pigeons are so noisy and flap around the trees a lot, late evening and early morning. Not sure if it's just the time of year. Did hear the peacocks a few times but didn't seem to bother us in South Park. Hard to push pushchair across car park as stoney. Shop closes quite early. Tiny black fly/bug things that land on you and tickle/itch which seem to be everywhere in Norfolk not just Clippesby.

This site was booked as a group booking for 8 families all in tents. We booked The Heath which was great we felt like we had our own private campsite.
The facilities are amazing parks with zip wires, sand pits, football pitches. A super pub on site which is hidden away around by the hall & certainly didn't affect us noise wise. Great food I would definitely recommend.
The shower blocks are very modern but they appear quite dark because of the colour of the tiles, they are very small & trying to clean 2 children & oneself is impossible. They are cleaned twice a day which means they are shut for one & half hours twice a day. I think that is excessive. The water was either freezing or boiling and there aren't separate washing basins so we had to clean our teeth next to the toilet.
The washing up facilities weren't much better as the taps just didn't produce any water. I think they just couldn't cope with the amount of people who wanted to use them.
The site is very well placed for local beaches most of them beautiful & deserted, a bonus. Also for the host of places to visit nearby with or without kids.
I will not let the washing facilities put me off as I did like the site and would visit again.

I really like this site and have just returned from our second visit. The pub has a nice atmosphere, the coffee shop is reasonable and the shop is handy.
The staff are all friendly and helpful.
We pitched our tent on pitch number 46 of the Pine Woods which is in a great situation.
However, I just don't like the toilet / shower block. It feels such a chore to use them. The lay out seems cramped and awkward, the location of the showers results in a wet floor just inside the door (and therefore muddy mess). The showers in the Ladies section are very small.
There are no separate sink cubicles resulting in cleaning your teeth next to a toilet!
The facilities were bearable Wednesday and Thursday, but Friday, Saturday and Sunday (when the site was full) it was awful. The toilets were cleaned twice a day but the facilities simply couldn't cope.
I think the owners should consider a revamp as I'm afraid they are not 5*.

This site ticks all the boxes. The customer service, the location, the facilities were all excellent. We stayed in the Meadow, an area designated for motorhomes which was excellent.
We cycled one of the mapped out routes one day and covered over 20 miles but the area is so flat I could have carried on. We didn't eat in the pub but the prices were good. Only gripe was that as the rest of the country was basking in the heat, it was overcast and cold here. Nevertheless, we will defo be back.
Nothing more to say really than this is a bloody fantastic site with fantastic facilities! We were in a group of 4 families with 4 young children ranging from 5 to 10 weeks old.
The site is very friendly, has everything you need on site including a small pool, a lovely pub (excellent food), tennis court and mini golf. The loo/wash-up facilities were second to none, I particularly liked the fact there was a family bath room complete with bath and changing table for my 10 week old daughter.
Lots of nice walks and other things to do in the local area, including beaches and its not to far from 'Bewilderwood' park which is a must for anyone with children.
Most definitely going back at some point!
