This was our third visit to this site, it was just as lovely and had had a new shower / toilet block built since we last visited. Lovely warm buildings that were always spotlessly clean with unlimited free hot water!
The shop on site is very reasonable and we even noticed that eggs were cheaper than in our local shop at home!
Relatives were also staying on site in a caravan and they were impressed with the help given to tow the caravan on to their pitch with a tractor and to level it (they said it was the first time they had encountered this!).
My husband (not a natural/keen camper!) was very impressed with the site.
The only improvement on site I would suggest is to improve the children's playground a bit.
Overall we all had a fabulous stay and would not recommend that everyone goes to this site - as there won't be room for us to return!
The site is well placed for beaches and Beaumaris, we will definitely return in the future.

This was our first camping trip as a family and it did not disappoint! Right from the booking it was brilliant. When we booked the lady owner was really helpful and very warm and friendly and because we were in a tent did not want a deposit asking us to pay in full on arrival.
When we arrived we were met the the same lady who proved to be as friendly in person as on the phone. Having paid for the two nights we were shown where to pitch being told they were not busy and spread out if you like and there was no rush to depart on time on the day we left so we could miss the traffic.
We were shown where the water point, bins, showers and toilets were and given the code for the toilet doors. The toilet and shower facilities were first class! There was always plenty of loo roll and the water was always hot, and they were always clean and tidy. The dish washing facilities were under cover in the same area as the toilets with a chest freezer for refreezing ice blocks.
The site is very quiet which was nice for us and at night very dark excellent for a bit of star gazing. Ideal for those who want a quiet relaxing site. It is approximately 1 and a half miles from the castle at Beaumaris which is easy walking distance. We could not fault this site and will be returning again soon!

Went for the weekend in 6 man tent 2 adults, 3 children 13, 11, 10. Youngest child is disabled.
When my husband phoned he explained we had a disabled child and they reserved a pitch for us right next to the shower / toilet block. The pitches are marked out clearly so no scrambling for places and they give plenty of room for an average size tent and car next to it. On arrival were taken to the pitch and told where everything was on site.
The shower blocks were new and very modern with underfloor heating. Amazingly clean and plenty of toilets. Only 3 showers but a baby room with bathing area and 2 vanity rooms with sinks and mirrors improved things. One problem was that we couldn't use the showers for our youngest as there wasn't enough room for a walking frame or wheelchair to be used. There aren't any disabled facilities on site which is the one let down.
The shop is small but well enough stocked and reasonably priced. The owners were wonderful and said that if the shop was closed we could knock on their caravan and they would open up for us which they did later on that evening when we ran out of milk.
The play area is small but kept our kids amused and it is enclosed so safe too.
Overall the site is beautifully kept and the owners were welcoming and friendly. I would definitely recommend the site to anyone except maybe those who need the disabled facilities. Ok for a weekend but need to look elsewhere for longer.

My first and certainly won't be my last visit. This site really is a gem of a site. The owners are incredibly friendly and the site is very well run. I found the spaces for the tents well spaced apart and even though my visit was for a week over the bank holiday its never felt too cramped. The shop is basic but with nearby village of Llangoed less than a quarter of a mile away it really wasn't a problem if they didn't have what I wanted. The toilet/shower blocks are by far the cleanest and nicest I have ever used. It's not an exaggeration to say you could eat your dinner off the floors in this place! Free hot water and toilet roll felt like a real luxury. My only slight criticism was the absence of washing facilities-not a plus if you are staying for a week as I was. Also the park is a bit more aimed at the older kids and wasn't really suitable for my toddler. Other than that this site really is a nice find and well situated for the average tourist.

This is a really good site.
We stayed for 2 nights mid week in August which the site was very full with children playing ball games etc which was fine because they were considerate children just having fun and causing no harm. There is an open area for children to play ball games etc and a good 'play area' with swings, slides etc.
The toilet block and washing facilities are excellent with the showers being fully adjustable including temperature. The owners are very helpful and there is a shop on side selling camping basics.
Would definitely visit again!

We've just returned from a 7-day stay at this site - would have to say it was absolutely superb.
Owners are so friendly & helpful - facilities onsite were 5* , toilets and showers were always immaculate.
Regarding last 400 yards comments to site - perhaps we were lucky but never encountered any traffic either way during our stay.
Childrens play area was fine , our two enjoyed exploring the 'woods' / 'den' areas more than the swings!
Looking forward to our next stay at this site.
